Yeshe Norbu Master Wan Ko 1 is the most venerable leader in Buddhist circle and the chief adept in orthodox Buddha dharma in the dharma realm. His Holiness is my Buddha Master who I respect the most and to whom I am indebted to. Ever since His Holiness started to propagate correct Buddha-dharma to save living beings, His Holiness has repeatedly announced and abided by an unusual rule that He does not accept any offerings. His Holiness only wants to spread correct Buddha-dharma, save living beings and participate in all charities associated with the correct dharma of Tathagata. His Holiness does not accept any offerings no matter if they are money, assets, or items at any value. On the other hand, His Holiness constantly puts the welfare and interest of living beings as His top priority. His Holiness is mindful of that and tirelessly and quietly contributes to people and benefits sentient beings with all of his own treasure and fortune without reservations. His Holiness brings to living beings and the entire Buddhist realm immeasurably vast and profound benefits of correct Buddhadharma and infinite blessings. Nevertheless, our majestic Master always considers Himself as one of the living beings. His Holiness defines Himself as a humble practitioner and does not allow anyone to promote Him. His Holiness constantly said, “I am a humble practitioner. I am and will always be an attendant to all living beings.” I would like to give some of my personal experiences as examples. These are all true facts.
“The Song Collection of Master Wan Ko Yee” is proof that my great Master implements Buddha wisdom of the Five Vidyas and the dharma voice of Tathagata in promoting dharma and saving living beings. It is also proof that the Master dedicates Himself unselfishly only to benefit sentient beings. It is extraordinary and very precious that His Holiness saves and benefits living beings without accepting anything in return. His Holiness has formally confirmed in writing that He decided to contribute all royalty of His dharma music and lyrics to Buddhist practices that save living beings. He said, “I do not need anything. Everything is for the benefit of living beings.” In addition, His Holiness stopped our promotion preparation for the debut of “The Song Collection” and said, “Do not promote me personally! Due to certain special karmic affinity, I am much honored to participate in part of the preparation, publication and distribution of ‘The Song Collection of Master Wan Ko Yee.’ ” I personally experienced and witnessed my Master’s holiness and morality in His propagation of correct Buddha-dharma and salvation of living beings. I was deeply moved.
There was a fellow male disciple in Chengdu, China, who used to be a blind vagrant. He lost sight in both of his eyes more than thirty years ago. He was so poor and deprived that he sang from street to street and begged for donations to support himself. One day, my Buddha Master ran into him and helped him out with great compassion. His Holiness not only cured the vagrant’s blindness in a very short period of time but also provided his family of four with money and items of necessity on a regular basis to alleviate his financial hardship and help his two children receive an education. The vagrant singer was so deeply moved and thankful that he composed many folk songs and dedicated them to the Master, praising His immeasurable compassion and the divine merits of Buddhahood. The tunes and lyrics were very touching. Later on, I recorded these songs and was about to publish and promote them. I had an audience with my Buddha Master and reported the project to His Holiness. His Holiness stopped me from doing it. The reason was very simple. It was what His Holiness had said before, “Do not promote me personally!”
I had brought money or things as offerings to the Buddha Master many times in the past. However, the Buddha Master refused to accept them again and again. His Holiness always returned them after His Holiness empowered them. There were no exceptions. There were many examples. I once offered my Buddha Master RMB$200,000.00. His Holiness did not accept any of it. Instead, His Holiness donated the entire amount to a nursing home and helped me accumulate the merit of charity. There was once that I made an offering of HK$6,000,000.00 to the Buddha Master which was returned to me with His blessings. Another time when I gave the Buddha Master an AE gold card from American Express which had unlimited credit line, His Holiness paid no attention to it and refused it. And, there was a time that I made an offering of HK$1,000,000.00 in a cashier’s check. It ended up being taken by the Buddha Master to a dharma assembly with around 100 attendees where he returned it to me with His blessings. His Holiness also gave a discourse and announced again His principle of not accepting offerings. The aforementioned examples are just a few among countless others regardless of the amount of offerings. Every time when the Buddha Master turned down disciples’ offerings, His Holiness always told His disciples compassionately, “As your Master, I do not need your money. What I need is your true heart in learning Buddhism and your conduct of unselfish devotion in benefiting living beings.”
My Buddha Master’s teachings through His words and conduct have become the guidelines and models that I follow to stay motivated in learning Buddhism and self-cultivation. I want to make a resolution that I will always consider myself as a humble Buddhist disciple and practitioner just like my Buddha Master. I will always be mindful of that in the aspects of my conduct, speech and thoughts. The three karmas of mine will be corresponding to those of my Buddha Master’s. Therefore, I decided to be ordained to become a bhikkhuni and follow the teachings of my great Buddha Master. I will unselfishly contribute all I have for the cause of selfenlightenment and enlightening others, propagating correct Buddha-dharma and benefiting living beings.
My majestic Buddha Master is the most extraordinary Buddha in the history of Buddhism who truly came from the Buddha Lands. His Holiness has been praised by the Bodhisattvas and Buddhas from the ten directions with great joy. His Holiness has been leading living beings from the dharma realm to practice and uphold the correct Buddha-dharma of Samyaksambodhi. His Holiness’s Buddha wisdom and Five Vidyas are magnificent and wonderful. His Holiness manifests his virtuous merits and Buddha-dharma without any hindrance. Various Buddhist sects and schools of Exoteric and Esoteric Buddhism have respectfully followed and relied upon the Buddha Master. His Holiness is truly the most majestic Buddha that came to save and liberate all living beings, and bring to the world happiness, auspiciousness, peace, prosperity and great future. However, I feel most disappointed and saddest that I have not seen my great Buddha Master for nine years. I do not know when I will get the chance to have an audience with him and prostrate myself in front of him. I miss my Buddha Master a lot. Great Heavens! Please give me an opportunity.
Buddhist disciple with a heart of humility,

H.H.Dorje Chang Buddha III－A TREASURY OF TRUE BUDDHA-DHARMA
One day in March of 2003, my mother became ill with something like a stroke. She couldn’t move the right side of her body nor could she talk. At the emergency room, the diagnosis was that she was in the last stages of an inoperable brain cancer with a tumor the size of a fist. Unfortunately chemotherapy was not an option. She had about a zero chance of being cured with radiation treatments. We were told to take her home for hospice care for her final days. We were all very panicky and very sad with the anticipation of having to watch our mother wait for her death.
At that time, I kept praying that my mother could have the opportunity to see the Buddha Master, H.H. Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu Holiest Tathagata. The Buddha Master was merciful, and the arrangements were made for the Buddha Master to see my mother immediately.
I remember that day very clearly. At the altar, my mother was anxious and crying because she had lost her ability to speak, but the Buddha Master said, “It’s alright, it’s alright. I understand it all.” The Buddha Master accepted my mother as a disciple and also transmitted dharma to her right then and there. That day, my mother couldn’t talk nor do the mudra because her right hand was paralyzed. I remember that the merciful Buddha Master came down from the platform, held her good left hand, and personally put the Cultivation Seed Syllables on the palm of her left hand. That particular scene is deeply imprinted in my mind. That’s the empowerment a Buddha gives to a suffering living being. I was deeply moved and even more grateful to my Buddha Master, although the Buddha Master does not allow his disciples to call him Buddha. Nevertheless, His Holiness is a true ancient Buddha who has descended into this world.
With all that happened at the altar that day, my mother used her eyes to communicate with the Buddha Master. My father and 4th eldest sister were also there, but they didn’t seek refuge with the Buddha Master at that time. After we went back home, my mother looked at the palm of her left hand everyday and studied it very hard. She would look at the palm of her hand even at night when the light was not on. (During the more than six months from the time my mother fell ill until the time of her rebirth in a Buddha Land, she did not take one painkiller. She lived three months longer than the doctor had predicted.)
Early in the morning, three days before her 70th birthday, my mother’s condition turned worse. She became unconscious. Her whole body was twitching. The paralyzed right side was stiff and un-bendable. She had rapid breathing and an increased heart rate with her blood pressure dropping. Both the doctor and the nurse notified us to prepare for the end and dress her properly for the funeral. It was unbearable to see my eighty-year-old father so sad. The whole family was nervous and confused.
The first thing in my mind was to beg the Buddha Master to be merciful and send mother to a good place. The Buddha Master made time in a very busy schedule to receive my father and me. It was already eleven o’clock at night. My father begged the Buddha Master to allow for mother to have her 70th birthday before she left us, and also for both of her daughters to have time to come back from the east coast to see their mother for the last time. The Buddha Master said very decidedly, “No problem! Let her have her 70th birthday before she leaves! I think Guan-Yin Bodhisattva will let her stay for a few more days before receiving her to the Western Paradise of Ultimate Bliss! I am ashamed to say that I don’t have that kind of dharma power to keep her. Only the Buddha can help her.”
Right away the Buddha Master empowered a Mantra Wheel and Dharma Instructions, instructing us to have my mother wear the Mantra Wheel on her head to shake her spiritual mind. The Dharma Instruction would be for her to wear at the time of her passing on to the Pure Land, using the power of the Seed Syllables to enter the Western Paradise of Ultimate Bliss.
After we went back, my mother’s pupils were already dilated, and her body temperature was low. She passed away. We followed the instructions we received from the Buddha Master and put the Mantra Wheel on my mother’s head, feeling very scared. My mother had already left. Was it too late for her to wear the Mantra Wheel now? Unexpectedly, a miracle happened. Within only two short hours, mother regained consciousness. Her pupils, body temperature, and breathing all became normal. She answered some of our questions by nodding, shaking, and moving her head and by blinking her eyes. Her consciousness was completely clear and normal. Not only did my mother wait until both of my sisters came back from the east coast to celebrate her 70th birthday, but days after that, mother would sit in a wheelchair, using her unparalyzed left hand to offer incense to the Buddha.
Many monastics were there to witness the process of mother’s revival. My aunt, who had been there nursing my mother, was deeply shocked and realized how great and powerful the true Buddha-dharma is. Furthermore, it changed my father, who has been a Christian for the past fifty years. He became a disciple of the Buddha Master.
Only after my mother was lingering in her sick bed and had started to accumulate phlegm in her throat, and my father could feel that my mother was suffering from the phlegm collecting in her throat, did he kneel down in front of the picture of the Buddha Master, silently begging the Buddha Master to ask Guan-Yin Bodhisattva to come and receive mother in the Western Paradise of Ultimate Bliss to enjoy the blessings! As expected, at 6:50 early next morning, my mother left peacefully with her mouth open like a sleeping baby. A message was relayed that morning from the Buddha Master’s attendant Kuan that the Buddha Master would use the most profound and wonderful Pure Land spirit-raising Dharma to raise my mother’s spirit from suffering and would respectfully ask Guan-Yin Bodhisattva or her attendants to receive mother to the Western Paradise of Ultimate Bliss within seven days. I was all very grateful for the Buddha Master’s empowerment to send my mother to the Western Paradise. Not only were her face and lips rosy, her limbs were also soft so that the task of dressing her properly for the funeral was easy.
However, the most amazing thing was when I knelt in front of my mother’s body that day and said, “Mom, if you have seen Guan-Yin Bodhisattva or the attendants sent by her with the message that they are coming to receive you, please close your mouth and smile so we don’t have to worry.” I kowtowed three times to thank my mother for all the years she spent raising me, knelt in front of her bed, and silently recited Guan-Yin Bodhisattva’s sacred name. I lost track of time. My mother had been like a sleeping baby with her mouth opened, but now her mouth was closed and she was smiling. Wow! My heavens! I was shocked. I thought my eyes were deceiving me, that I’d made a mistake. I hurried and asked my family to come and see. Everyone saw the same thing I did—that she will be received by Guan-Yin Bodhisattva or her attendants in the Western Paradise of Ultimate Bliss.
At that time, there were birds singing very beautiful tunes outside the window, just as described in the sutras. Normally, there is no bird around or near the house. That day, the recorder suddenly played Guan-Yin Bodhisattva’s sacred name automatically. All of these remarkable auspicious events brought tears of excitement to two of my aunts who were taking care of mother at that time and who were also cultivating themselves as Buddhists. They said, “We have been doing our cultivation all these years, but now we have seen what is called the true Buddha-dharma.” Because of mother’s ascent and her rebirth in that Buddha Land, they kept asking us to take them to the Buddha Master to seek refuge.
Imagine what level of realization a holy reincarnated being has in order to be able to communicate with Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and ask Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to call back my mother from death, allow her to stay many days, and come and arrange to have her received as desired. That can only be done by a Buddha! The fact that my mother passed away, came back to life, and ascended to the Western Paradise of Ultimate Bliss after her 70th birthday is only a very small and ordinary case among all of the Buddha Master’s many disciples. There are too many other examples to mention concerning all the other disciples who attained accomplishment, became liberated and ascended to the Pure Land.
Many disciples have only seen the Buddha Master once and received transmission of the Buddha-dharma, such as fellow disciple Yu-Shan Hou. He practiced the dharma that the Buddha Master transmitted to him and was able to visit the Western Paradise of Ultimate Bliss. He came back to tell everybody that he would pass on to the Western Paradise of Ultimate Bliss seven days later. As he predicted, he passed on to the Western Paradise on a lotus seven days later.

Around 1987, I inadvertently discovered pink spots that had grown on the surface of the skin of my left armpit. Underneath those spots was a small, hard lump. I did not pay any attention to it at first, nor did I go to a doctor for treatment. This situation continued for two years. I then began to feel a kind of malaise, which soon spread throughout my entire body. Once when I was chatting with a friend, that friend urged me to see a doctor. Still, I could not think of any reason to do that.
One day I saw on the wall of a hospital some posters relating to lymphgland tumors and realized that my physical condition was similar to what was described in those posters. The tumor under my armpit had already swollen to around the size of a $50 Taiwan coin (the size of an American silver dollar) and had changed from pink to dark red. Although I became quite flustered about this, I did not have the courage to go to the hospital again to have a more detailed examination performed. I knew very clearly that I would not be able to withstand such a blow since I had just undergone major surgery to remove a tumor on my uterus. Therefore, I simply endured my situation silently and dared not tell anyone about it.
Due to the coming together of karmic conditions, I began chatting with a friend about the surgery I had to remove a tumor on my uterus. With no particular intent in mind, I also mentioned the abnormal condition of my armpit. After my friend heard this, my friend wanted to introduce to me a supreme Buddha Master who could help cure my illness. At that time I did not know the identity of the Buddha Master. I only knew that His Holiness was a great international master of noble character. Without any doubts in my mind, I accompanied that friend of mine to the city of Chengdu in Sichuan Province in mainland China so as to pay a formal visit to that supreme Buddha Master. I had the good fortune of meeting the Buddha Master after waiting more than ten days. The Buddha Master asked me what brought me to Chengdu. I immediately told the Buddha Master the purpose of my visit. The Buddha Master then very compassionately said, “All right, all right. It will go away and be fine.”
The Buddha Master took an ordinary silver acupuncture needle so as to begin curing my illness. His Holiness said that if in a moment I felt sensations of swelling or pain, I should tell His Holiness. I then saw the Buddha Master’s mouth moving as His Holiness recited a mantra. The Buddha Master then inserted the needle into an acupuncture point between the thumb and index finger on my left hand and gave a puff. At this time I felt blood coursing through all parts my body, and my entire body felt swollen. The temperature of that tumor began to rise, as if it was on fire. After going through that process three separate times, the Buddha Master told me that after I return home I should continue to recite the name of the Buddha or Bodhisattva that I normally recite. I said that I recite “Namo Guan Shi Yin Pu Sa (Homage to Kuan Shi Yin Bodhisattva).” The Master replied, “That is fine. Go ahead and recite that Bodhisattva’s name. If you do so earnestly and sincerely, the tumor will soon leave you.”
I returned to Taiwan in a very happy state of mind. As before, I busily went about handling business matters, but I did not forget to recite that Bodhisattva’s name whenever I had spare time. After I returned to Taiwan, first thing in the morning, I looked at that tumor every day. It neither grew nor shrunk. However, about twenty days after I returned to Taiwan, I was bathing one day and suddenly thought of that red-spotted tumor on my armpit. I quickly took a look in the mirror and surprisingly discovered thatthe hard lump had shrunk. The original size of a $50 Taiwan coin (an American silver dollar) had shrunk to the size of a $1 Taiwan coin (an American dime). I was so elated I wanted to jump for joy. I felt very grateful, very grateful! Those two words truly arose from the bottom of my heart as I thanked that magnificent and supreme Master. From that time on, I recited the name of that Bodhisattva even more earnestly and sincerely as a way of showing my appreciation toward that supreme Buddha Master. However, approximately one month later, that tumor had not shrunk at all. I again began to feel somewhat anxious. Then, I heard a loud sound one evening. The red-spotted hard lump on my left armpit suddenly disappeared without a trace. Words cannot describe the excitement and gratitude I felt deep in my heart. All of the clouds under which I was living vanished at once! I later took refuge in that magnificent Buddha Master Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu Holiest Tathagata. Seventeen years have now passed, and I am physically healthier and mentally happier than I was when I was young! All that I have stated above is true! If there is anything fabricated in it, I am willing to descend into the vajra hell! If what I have stated are true words, I dedicate all of the resulting merit to all living beings in the dharma realm!

H.H.Dorje Chang Buddha III－A TREASURY OF TRUE BUDDHA-DHARMA
